• Day 01 – Guwahati Arrival

  As you arrive in Guwahati, you’ll meet our representative, who will greet you and transfer you to your pre-arranged hotel. Check in to your hotel and spend some time destressing yourself from the hectic schedule of the tour. After getting fresh, you’ll charter a ferry to reach the Umananda Temple. Umananda Temple, which is Lord Shiva’s shrine, is a sacred destination and one of the best spiritual sites to visit in Guwahati. It is located on the world’s smallest river island i.e., the Peacock Island on Brahmaputra. The temple is also a historical attraction as it has beautifully sculpted figures of Hindu Gods and Goddesses. After a brief visit to the temple, you’ll head to the Sukreswar Temple, a revered Shiva temple situated on the Itakhuli hill on the river Brahmaputra’s southern bank. After soaking in the beautiful ambiance of the temple, you will feel rejuvenated and blessed. You can spend the rest of the evening as you want. Stay in awe as you see the sound and light show at Kalakshetra. Immerse yourself in the magical atmosphere and click beautiful pictures of the surroundings. After the whole day of exploration, you’ll get back to your hotel and have an overnight stay.

• Day 02 – A Trip to Hajo Temples and Kamakhya Darshan

  Have a scrumptious breakfast, and then get ready to visit the Kamakhya Temple. The temple holds great prominence for the Hindus and those who follow Tantric traditions. It hosts the annual Ambubachi Mela festival, during which it is believed that the Goddess menstruates. You must obtain a special pass to get swift entry to the temple and avoid standing in a long line to do the darshan of the Goddess. After the divine darshan, you will proceed to Madhava Temple, which attracts both Buddhist and Hindu devotees. The sacred shrine is perched atop the Manikuta hill and has been built in honor of the God Vishnu. According to Hindu mythology, to punish the demons, Kaitava and Madhu, who had stolen the Vedas, Lord Vishnu took the avatar of Hayagriva. It is believed that King Raghudeva Narayan built the temple’s current structure in the year 1583, though some historians believe that the Pala dynasty’s emperor had constructed it in the sixth century. The body of the temple has rows of elephants that are considered to be fine specimens of Assamese art. After the divine darshan, you’ll head to the Ugratara Temple. The unique thing about this temple is that, unlike the generic temples, it does not have an idol; instead, the inner sanctum contains a pitch of water worshipped as Goddess Tara, believed to be Goddess Parvati’s incarnation. You can spend the evening as you like exploring the nearby attractions or shopping for souvenirs. Later, you’ll enjoy an overnight stay at your hotel.

• Day 3 – Bhimashankar Temple | Transfer to Guwahati Station/Airport for onward destination

  Have a yummy breakfast to reenergize yourself for the last day of your tour. After that, you’ll be transferred to Bhimashankar Temple. The unique thing about this temple is that there is no concrete temple at the location. When you visit the temple, you’ll find that the Shiva Linga is located where the waterfalls gush in complete force. At the site, there is a purohit or pandit who initiates the puja rituals. Another temple you’ll visit is the Navagraha Temple, which is perched on the Chitrasal Hills and testifies to astronomical exploration and spiritual devotion.
