• Day 01 – Arrival in Madurai – Enjoy a Sightseeing tour to Madurai

  Upon your arrival at the Madurai Airport/ Railway station, the tour representative will then help you in your transfer to your hotel room and directs you towards the check-in process. And with your successful check-in process, relax for a bit in your hotel room.

  After some time, please proceed towards a sightseeing tour to Madurai. You will be visiting three of the major landmarks in this city i.e. ThirumalaiNayakkar Mahal, Gandhi Memorial, and Meenakshi temple.

  ThirumalaiNayakkar Mahal is a 17th-century old palace briefly presenting a classical fusion of Dravidian and Rajput architectural design. You can revel in its beauty and you will also be able to capture some of your royal moments at this palace. The palace also hosts a light and sound show every day in the evening around 6:45 pm so after your day tour will be over then, you can here and enjoy that show.

  After that, you will be visiting the Gandhi Museum which is only 3 km away from this place. You will find yourself walking along a tree-lined road during this short trip. On reaching the museum, you can check out the sections accounting the Indian struggle for freedom and a separate section exhibiting some rare objects related to the life of Mahatma Gandhi.

  In the afternoon, you will walk on a spiritual tour to Meenakshi Temple. It is a 15-acre temple complex which is guarded by gateway towers made of multi-colored images of gods and demons. You will enter the temple complex through the eastern entrance, you will then see a 1000 pillars hall which is intricately designed by life-size figures. Then, head towards paying a homage to the goddess Meenakshi and after that, you are free to spend the day in whatever way you like. You can stay here and enjoy Aarti rituals at night.

  Otherwise, you can do a little shopping outside the Meenakshi temple. You can buy some cotton fabrics and hand-woven work from here.

  Finally, get back to your hotel room for an overnight stay.

• Day 02 – En-route to Rameswaram – A City Tour

  After having a delicious breakfast, please proceed towards your next destination ‘Rameswaram’, which is only 170 km away from Madurai. For Rameswaram, you will enjoy driving alongside the lush green beauty of Tamil Nadu.

  When you will safely reach Rameswaram, the tour representative will assist you in your check-in process and then, relax for a bit.

  After some time, proceed towards your sightseeing tour to Rameswaram. You will make your first stop at RamanathaswamyTemple which is one of the 12 holy Jyotirlingas in India. The temple is dedicated to the sacred mound (a sculpture which is believed to be carved by Goddess Sita, so that Lord Rama can worship Lord Shiva.) and is expected to witness thousands of visitors every day. It also said that the temple has 22 wells and the water of the well has some medicinal properties.

  Other local sites you will visit are Ram Padam, Agnitheeram, and Hanuman Temple (visit to these sites is totally optional). Rama Padam is a place which is believed to be housing a chakra which has Lord Rama feet engraved in it. Next will be Agnitheeram, a temple where Lord Rama once worshipped Lord Shiva and lastly, Hanuman Temple which exhibits floating stones.

  Otherwise, you can go to the lost land of Dhanushkodiwhich is popular for housing various sports activities (Not Inclusive in the package.).

  After enjoying your day tour, get back to your hotel room for an overnight stay.

• Day 03 – En-route to Kanyakumari – a Sightseeing tour

  After having a delicious breakfast, please proceed towards your next destination ‘Kanyakumari’ which is 325 Km away from Rameswaram. Today, you will be driving alongside of green paddy fields and coastal belt of the Lands’ End of India.

  But if you choose to go for a morning darshan at Ramanathaswamy temple then, you may have to proceed towards Kanyakumari a little late. While driving towards Kanyakumari, you will take a short break at Tiruchendur, a sea shore temple of Subrahmanyam.

  When you will reach safely in Kanyakumari, the tour representative will assist you in your check-in process and then, relax for a bit.

  After that, head towards a half-day tour to Vivekananda Memorial. For this, you will have to take a ferry to two-mandapa rock memorial. You will see a huge statue of a famous Tamil poet ‘Tiruvallur’ here which is believed to be carved by around 5,000 sculptors.

  Then in the evening, watch the setting sun at Kanyakumari shore. You will watch a very mesmerizing view of the sun submerging into the sea and the sight will stay with you forever as a memory.

  Finally, get back to your hotel room for an overnight stay.

• Day 04 – En-route to Trivandrum – A Sightseeing Tour

  After watching a beautiful sunrise scene, please proceed towards your next destination ‘Trivandrum’. While you will be driving towards Trivandrum, you can make a short break at Thanumalayan temple at Suchindram which is housing a 22ft highHanumann statue (but this visit is optional).

  When you will reach safely in Kanyakumari, the tour representative will assist you in your check-in process and then, relax for a bit.

  After that, head towards a half-day tour to Trivandrum. You will makeyour first stop at Padmanabhaswamy temple which is also considered the richest temple of India. After having darshan, you will check out the Puthenmalika, a famous horse place exhibiting some ancient wooden sculpture work. Later, you can check out some famous oil paintings and antique collection at Napier Museum.

  Finally, get back to your hotel room for an overnight stay.

• Day 05 – Departure Day

  After having a delicious breakfast in your resort, the representative will assist you in checking-out process and you will then be transferred to Trivandrum Airport/ Railway Station from where you can follow your onward journey. And with this, the tour ends on a memorable note!
