Badrinath is a sacred Hindu site situated in Uttarakhandâs Chamoli district. Badrinath houses the Badrinath Temple, which is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. It is counted as one of the Chota Char Dham and the four Char Dham pilgrimage yatras. Nar and Narayan mountain ranges guard Badrinath from either side, with the Neelkanth Peak providing a breathtaking backdrop. Tapt Kund: Tapt Kund is a thermal spring situated on the Alaknanda river bank. It is known to be the abode of the God of Fire. You must take a dip in this spring before entering the Badrinath temple. As per the locals, you can relieve all your sins by taking a bath this spring.
Mana Village: This village lies on the Indo-Tibet border in Uttarakhandâs Chamoli district. Indo-Mongolian tribes inhabit this village. The village offers breathtaking views of the splendid sights, like the caves, temples, Saraswati River etc, mentioned in the sacred Hindu texts. It is also dotted with various challenging trails that attract thrill seekers to enjoy treks and hikes.
Vasundhara: Vasundhara is a ravishing waterfall that falls from around four hundred feet. It is around five kilometers from Badrinath, of which two kilometers distance is motorable up to Mana.
Bhim Pul: Bhim Pul is a natural bridge formed by a massive rock. It is perched on the other side of the Mana Village over the Saraswati River. As per the locals, Pandavas followed this path when they were walking for heaven from Badrinath temple. It is also known as SWARGAROHANI, and it is believed that Bheem placed a big Shila above the Saraswati River to enable Draupadi to cross the River. Eventually, it became a bridge.
Vyas Gufa: This rock cave is situated near Mana Village. It is believed that Ved Vyas composed the Pauranik commentaries and the Mahabharata at this place. Youâll have to climb around a hundred steps to reach this gufa. The gufa looks like a stacked-up Vedic literature.
Badrinath Weather: Badrinath experiences cool and chilly weather all year around. The average minimum temperature ranges around 8° Celsius, and the maximum temperature is 18° Celsius. Whenever you arrive at Badrinath, you must bring along woolen and warm clothes. During winter, Badrinath experiences heavy snowfalls. During the winters, Badrinath remains closed to the tourists.
