Day 01 – Arrival Srinagar to Sonmarg

Upon your arrival in Srinagar, the tour representative will greet you with your welcome drinks and then, assist you in your transfer to Sonmarg. On your way to Sonmarg, your will find yourself driving along the picturesque mountain of Jammu and Kashmir. The journey alone will excite the traveling fervor in you and you will automatically get relieved from the tiredness.

Once you reach Sonmarg safely, the representative will direct you towards the check-in formalities and after that, the whole day is at your disposal.
Day 02 – Srinagar- Neelgrath- Panchtarni- Sonmarg

After having a delicious breakfast, you will be asked to assemble in the reception area and from there, the representative will help with your guided transfer to Neelgrath. Once you reach Neelgrath, the ground staff will introduce you to all the rules and regulation that you have to abide by during this whole journey. Then, you will board the helicopter for a ride to Panjtarni which is the closest helipad to Amarnath temple.

On reaching Panjtarni, you will then walk the forward journey which will be about 6 km. You can also take the help of palkis and horseback to Amarnath temple. Inside the caves of Amarnath, follow all your worship ritual to get the precious blessings of Lord Shiva and if you are lucky, you may also spot the immortal pigeon inside the cave.

Once, you have worshipped Lord Shiva to your heart content then, proceed back to Panjtarni where a helicopter ride will be waiting for you.

Day 03 – Enjoy sightseeing tour of Srinagar

Start your day third with a delicious breakfast and then, the representative will assist you to your transfer to Srinagar. On reaching Srinagar, perform all the check-in formalities and freshen up yourself from the previous road journey. Then, the representative will ask you to assemble for a sightseeing tour of Srinagar.

The Sightseeing tour of Srinagar will start with a brief nature visit to the Mughal Gardens. Enjoy the silence of nature at this scenic garden. Then, you will be directed towards the joyful Shikara ride at the very famous Dal Lake of Srinagar.

In the evening, head back towards your hotel room and enjoy your overnight stay.
Day 04 – Departure from Srinagar

After having a breakfast, the representative will help with your airport transfer and from there, you will fly towards your respective destinations. With this, you will leave a memorable journey!

Usefull Information

It is mandatory for every registered yatri to collect his or her RFID card from designated locations in Jammu and Srinagar before embarking on the yatra.
Your journey shall involve trekking across high mountains, facing strong cold winds. You must carry
(i) adequate woollen clothing; (ii) a small umbrella (preferably one which is tied with an elastic band around your head and supported by a strap around the chin); (iii) windcheater; (iv) raincoat; (v) waterproof trekking shoes; (vi) torch; (vii) walking stick; (viii) cap (preferably a monkey cap); (ix) gloves; (x) jacket; (xi) woollen socks; (xii) trousers (preferably a waterproof pair).
These items are essential as the climate is highly unpredictable and changes abruptly from sunny weather to rain and snow. The temperature can sometimes abruptly fall to 5 degrees Celsius or lower.
For ladies, a sari is not a suitable dress for the yatra. Salwar Kameez, a pantsuit, or a track suit will be better. Ladies who are more than six weeks pregnant shall not be allowed to undertake the pilgrimage.
Keeping in view the tough nature of the trek, children below 13 years of age and elderly persons above the age of 70 shall not be permitted to undertake the pilgrimage.
You must strictly follow the instructions issued by the Yatra administration, from time to time.
Don’t stop at places that are marked by warning notices.
Don’t attempt any short cuts on the route, as doing so would be dangerous.
Earth, water, air, fire, and the sky are integral parts of Lord Shiva. The Base Camp and the entire Yatra routes are the abode of Shri Amarnathji. Throughout your pilgrimage, you must respect the environment and do nothing to pollute it.
All waste materials must be placed in the nearest trash can. All organic waste must be disposed of in the green dustbin.
