• Day 01: Lhasa Airport - Arrival - Nrophuk Link Park - Dalai Lama’s summer palace

  After arriving at Lhasa Airport, you’ll be received by our representative who will greet you warmly and transfer you to your designated hotel. Complete the check-in formalities and then have a lip-smacking lunch to energize yourself for the journey ahead. After lunch, you’ll prepare yourself to visit the Nrophuk Link Park, Dalai Lama’s Summer Palace. This spiritual site is surrounded by lush green landscapes and offers a blissful escape from the cacophony of fast-paced city life. It is the ideal destination to take an insight into the Dalai Lama’s life. Absorb the park’s peaceful ambiance and immerse yourself in the historical and cultural significance of this location. After this fascinating tour, you will head back to your hotel. Indulge in a lip-smacking dinner and then head to your room for a relaxing sleep.

• Day 02: Lhasa-Local Sightseeing

  On the second day, you will explore Lhasa’s famous historical and cultural attractions. Start your day by having a delicious breakfast and then you’ll get ready to visit the Sera Monastery, a famous Tibetan Buddhist monastery. Appreciate the architectural style of this monastery and engage in the debating Monks tradition. After that you will visit the Nechung Monastery and Chaqi Monastery, both offer insights into Tibet’s rich spiritual heritage. See the ancient scriptures, and intricate artwork, and appreciate the grandeur and beauty of these monasteries.

  You will then visit the majestic Potala Palace, Dalai Lama’s former summer residence in the winter. It is perched atop the Red Hill and is a mecca for the followers of Buddhism. With more than 10,000 painted scrolls, a thousand rooms, 698 murals, and thousands of statues made from jewels and alloys, the palace has become one of the world’s most famous spiritual sanctums. You will then visit the Jokhang Temple, a popular pilgrimage destination and UNESCO World Heritage Site. Stroll through Barkhor Street which surrounds the temple. Another architectural gem included in the tour is the Ramoche Temple, one of Lhasa’s oldest religious buildings. As the day comes to an end you’ll return back to your hotel and enjoy a mouth-watering dinner. Post dinner you’ll have an overnight sleep at your hotel.

• Day 03: Lhasa - Local Tour - Tibetan New Year - Losar

  Wake up early in the morning and prepare yourself to participate in the Losar Festival-Tibetan New Year Day. Losar is a Tibetan New Year known to be an important Buddhist festival for celebrating the harvest season and New Year. It falls on the Tibetan lunisolar calendar’s first day of the first month. As per the customs followed by the Tibetans the locals and visitors gather around the Jokhang Temple to pray for a prosperous and happy start to the day. On the first day of the Losar Festival Tibetans dress in new traditional clothes to celebrate the grand festival and make offerings in front of the altar. Enjoy specialty meals, such as sweet rice cooked with fruit and root, fried pastries, and “Chang” beer. In the afternoon you will head to the Drepung Monastery which housed around ten thousand monks in the past. It is one of the best places to learn about Buddhism. The prime attraction of the Drepung Monastery is the Coqen Hall located in the central monastery. It has Qamba Buddha’s giant bronze statue built according to the Qamba Buddha’s appearance at the age of eight. Return back to your hotel in the evening and have a relaxing sleep.

• Day 04: Lhasa - Drak Yerpa Cave’s local sightseeing

  On the fourth day, you will have a mouth-watering breakfast at your hotel and then you will get ready to visit the Drak Yerpa Cave, a sacred site perched on a hillside. This attraction has a network of more than eighty meditation caves, each known for their spiritual and historical significance. Drak Yerpa is also known as the spiritual axis of Lhasa or the "life tree" making your Tibetan journey meaningful. The cave complex holds immense spiritual heritage and has been visited by famous people such as Padmasambhava, Songtsen Gampo, Padampa Sangye and Yeshe Tsogyal. It housed several hundred nuns, hermits, and monks contributing to the sanctity of this place. Drak Yerpa hermitage is known to be one of the holiest caves in the region. From the cave, you can enjoy picturesque views. As you explore the cave you’ll get an insight into the ascetic life and the spiritual practices that were practiced in this region. After visiting the Drak Yerpa Cave you will head back to your hotel and have an overnight stay.

• Day 05: Lhasa – Samding - Local Tour to Lhamo Latso - Tso Lake, Yamdrok Lake, Manasarovar Lake

  On the fifth day, you will head to Samding from Lhasa. You will visit three sacred lakes: Lhamo La-Tso Lake, Yamdrok Lake, and Manasarovar Lake. These lakes are considered sacred and are renowned for their breathtaking beauty. Its crystal-clear waters and panoramic beauty create a tranquil setting. The lake houses nine islands including the Samding Monastery. The Samding Monastery is the only monastery in Tibet led by a female reincarnation. A female abbot heads the monastery making it a rare cultural gem. As you visit the monastery learn about the traditions and rituals that are practiced here. After absorbing the serenity of this monastery you will head to the Lhamo La-Tso Lake, Tibet’s holiest lake visited by pilgrims for prophecies and visions. You will then visit the Manasarovar Lake which has a stunning backdrop and holds immense religious significance. In the evening you’ll head back to your hotel and have a luscious dinner. After the dinner, you’ll have an overnight stay at your hotel relishing the memories of the day.

• Day 06 – Lhasa- Departure- Airport

  On the sixth day, you will bid farewell to Lhasa after enjoying a delicious breakfast. You will be transferred to Lhasa Airport to catch a flight to your hometown taking back cherished memories of the trip.
